COMPANY HISTORY

Yorkshire Copper Tube can trace its history back to 1864, when the Broughton Copper Company was set up near Manchester. For much of its history, Yorkshire Copper Tube was owned by IMI (previously ICI Metals Division) until, in 2002, it was purchased by KME Group.

The Yorkshire Copper Tube factory was established on its present site in 1950. Since then, however, it has received several significant updates and, under KME Group ownership, is subject to an ongoing investment programme to keep it at the forefront of tube manufacturing technology.
