KME Plus® Antimicrobial copper alloys

The new range of alloys with antimicrobial activity backed by scientific evidence.

As the first European manufacturer of copper semi-finished goods to be approved to use the “Antimicrobial Copper” brand and “Cu+” mark, KME presents a new offer of copper alloys with special antimicrobial characteristics that can be used for any touch surfaces we normally get in contact with.

The proven antimicrobial efficacy of the KME Plus® alloys allows them to be marketed with the “Cu+” mark confirming every alloy in our range as “the most effective antimicrobial surface”.

As a consequence, KME Plus® alloys help to increase hygiene and reduce harmful pathogens in all public spaces in which the level of exposure to bacteria and viruses causing infections is unusually high, potentially leading to serious illness.

At the design stage, the choice of KME Plus® alloys can help to significantly decrease the risk of infection from touching a contaminated surface.

The wide range of colored alloys with antimicrobial properties offered by KME enables architects and designers to take advantage of the important antimicrobial properties of KME Plus® materials without compromising on their creativity whilst projecting.
