Casting Wheels / Dam Blocks

KME casting wheels are used throughout the world in all types of systems.

In order to optimise the service life of the casting wheels with regard to specific stresses on the machine and operations, and to achieve the highest possible service life of the casting wheels, KME has developed and optimized the materials ELBRODUR G®, ELBRODUR GF® and CuAg.

Dam-Blocks

The relatively small Dam-Blocks are an integral part of twin-belt continuous casting machines, forming the side dam walls.

MANUFACTURING RANGE

With the available plant technology KME covers the casting wheel size range from 600 to 4,200 mm (other dimensions available on request). Thus KME can supply casting wheels for all plant types in the desired designs and materials.
