Management

The Board of Directors of KME Group, appointed by the General Meeting, is made up of 9 members (see box on the right) and chaired by Vincenzo Manes (Legal Representative of the company).

Four members of the Board of Directors hold executive positions:

• Vincenzo Manes
  Chairman

  • Vincenzo Manes was born in 1960 and holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration.
    He is the major shareholder of Quattroduedue Holding BV and of Intek S.p.A., and hense he is indirectly the main shareholder of KME Group S.p.A..

• Diva Moriani
  Vice-Chairman

  • Diva Moriani holds a degree in Business and Economics and joined Intek S.p.A. in 1999. She became a member of iNTEk's Board of Directors in 2002, of which she became Deputy Chairwoman in 2007. She is Chairwoman of iNTEkCapital S.p.A., CEO of I2 Capital Partners SGR S.p.A., and Deputy Chairwoman of ErgyCapital S.p.A.. She joined the KME Groups's Board of Directors on 27 April 2005, of which she became Vice Chairwoman on 25 March 2010.

• Riccardo Garrè
  General Manager
  (with responsibility for the industrial activities of KME)

  • Born in 1962, Riccardo Garrè holds a degree in Physics and joined the Group in 1988, initially managing a number of Italian Research Centre operations and then taking over leadership of the Superconductors Division in 1992.

    In 2000 he joined the Saint-Gobain Group as CEO of Saint-Gobain Euroveder Italia, also becoming General Manager of the worldwide Tempered Glass Division for the household appliances market.

    He was appointed General Manager of Saint-Gobain Glass’s Italian operations in 2003.

    He became General Manager of Saint-Gobain Glass France in 2007.

    In 2010 he returned to the KME Group as COO (Chief Operating Officer) of KME A.G.

    In March 2011 he joined the Board of KME Group SpA as General Manager (in charge of the Group’s industrial operations), and took over as head of its industrial business in the post of CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of KME A.G.

• Italo Romano
  General Manager
  (with role of CFO)

  • Italo Romano was born in 1958 and holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration. He joined the Group in 1988 serving in various capacities in the accounting and management and control areas. In 2001, he was named Corporate Group Controller with responsibility for studying the restructuring of the Group's entire IT and accounting system. In 2004, he was appointed General Manager "Administration, Control & Corporate Planning." In this capacity he handled the development of a strategic plan to refinance the Group. In 2005, he was elected to the Board of Directors of KME Italy S.p.A. and was named the company's Executive Vice President. The same year, he became a member of the Vorstand of KME A.G. and was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of KME Group S.p.A. In 2006, under his functional responsibility, the group signed a 850-Million-euro credit line provided by major European banks leaded by Deutsche Bank and an 800-million-euro factoring contract with GE Commercial Finance. In 2007, he was appointed General Manager and Board member of KME Group SpA and reappointed Executive Vice President of KME Italy S.p.A. and member of the Vorstand of KME A.G..
