KME Rolled Roofing takes stock of its presence at SWISSBAU 2010

SWISSBAU, the leading trade show for the construction and real estate industries in Switzerland and neighbouring countries, took place between 12 and 16 January 2010. Together with more than 1,200 other exhibitors from 21 countries, KME can look back on an extremely positive trade show with more than 108,000 visitors. It would appear that the trend shown at other European trade fairs recently is continuing: although the number of visitors on the whole was down, there was a marked increase in the number of trade visitors. For example, it was good to see that a high number of decision makers, such as specialist planners and architects also visited the stands. Consequently, the quality of the trade discussions was high.

Among other things, the trade visitors were especially interested in the subject of cladding. In this area the Rolled Roofing Division of KME informed visitors about the current range of TECU® brand products. The focus was on new copper alloys, particularly the TECU® Gold surface. This surface, which has already been used with great success in a number of projects throughout the whole of Europe, was presented for the first time at SWISSBAU and certainly generated a lot of positive interest among the trade visitors. The many new contacts and high demand for information about other TECU® products would suggest that we can look forward to an increase in building investment.
