Moulds for near net shape casting

New processes using the continuous casting technology must guarantee high productivity, ensure good product quality and drastically reduce the energy outlay from the raw material to the finished product.

KME played a decisive role in the development of near net shape casting by developing special copper and copper alloys, optimizing dimensions and adapting the coating for mould tubes, plates and casting rolls used in these processes.
