From 9-12 March 2016 the SHK Essen, the largest trade fair in Germany for professionals in sanitation, heating, air conditioning and renewable energies took place. This is the most important specialist trade fair in the SHK branch for presentation of the latest innovations to the industry. At this occasion skilled professionals, retailers, specialist planners, architects and operators get together with the industry.

556 exhibitors welcomed around 48,000 visitors. The booth of KME was – as in previous years – very well positioned in the entrance area of Hall 1.0. KME presented the trademarks SANCO®, WICU® and cuprotherm® in the diverse applications in sanitation and heating with focus on the sustainability and environmental friendliness of copper.

A competition – guessing the weight of a copper cube made of scrap (188,7 kg) - attracted many visitors. We counted 1.100 participants. In the course of discussions around the copper cube we talked about the good properties and wide application spectrum of copper tubes. It was obvious that copper is highly appreciated by SHK professionals and that, with view to the revised drinking water hygiene directive, copper is of big importance for the SHK branch.

The next SHK trade fair will take place in 2018 in Essen/Germany.
