Aurubis Slovakia donated financial gift 10 000 € for Hospital – medical center in Dolny Kubin for the reconstruction of the surgical department.
Surgical department in Dolný Kubín specializes mainly in the surgical treatment of diseases of the thyroid gland and parathyroid glands. The department consists of a complex of 40 beds on the 3rd floor of a monoblock.
Supporting the region in which we work and live is important to us. We believe that this gift will help increase the quality of care which the hospital is providing, and it will improve the comfort of patients in need.
The financial gift was received by the head of the surgical department, MUDr. Ivan Maretta.

Production at Aurubis Stolberg GmbH & Co. KG had to be stopped due to flooding
Stolberg/ Hamburg, 14. July 2021 – Early on Wednesday evening, production at Aurubis Stolberg GmbH & Co KG had to be stopped due to severe weather effects. The plant was evacuated. Employees have not been harmed
Already in the early afternoon, an escalation of the situation became apparent, as heavy rain with flood consequences flooded the entire valley, in which the Aurubis plant is also located.
Currently, it is not foreseeable when production can be resumed. Since the weather forecasts assume that the heavy rain will continue until midnight, a damage assessment is probably not possible until Thursday morning at the earliest.
Schwermetall Halbzeugwerk GmbH & Co. KG (50 % Aurubis AG) in Stolberg is not affected by the flooding, as the site is located at higher altitudes.
