Elements

Every heating cable must be connected to the power supply by 2 cold lead-in cables (standard length: 1 m), available in copper, cupro-nickel and stainless steel. Two cold joints (brass or stainless steel) filled with Magnesium Oxide provide the connection to the heating cable. Upon Customer request, KME can supply heating units ready for the connection, terminated with earth tail seals and ISO glands. For a correct installation of the heating elements:

• do not bend the cable beside the cold joints
• keep the cold lead-in far from the hot environment
