In the Dutch town of Tetringen, a residential building was realised with a convincing façade solution in TECU® Premium. The cubic structure was deprived of any rigour from the outset by an irregular arrangement of differently dimensioned windows. Perfectly complementing this, the folding technique of the copper cladding allows a play of light and shadow depending on the time of day, which clearly emphasises the fluidity of the façade.
The new TECU® Premium copper material harmoniously rounds off the appearance with a matt sheen and a unique fine-beaded surface structure.
TECU® Premium is an innovative alloy of copper with a small amount of high-quality tin. The material enables convenient processing, offers an extraordinary appearance right from the start and intensive and fast oxidation as it progresses. TECU® Premium complements the TECU® product range with a light bronze. The material can be excellently processed with modern cladding techniques as well as with traditional metalworking craftsmanship.
TECU® Premium is one of the 'TECU® Ecological Copper Alloys' and is therefore predestined for certified green buildings. All components of the alloy originate 100% from recycled material.
