Fire at KME in Osnabrück

On Tuesday, 16 September 2025, at around 1:25 p.m., a fire broke out on parts of a hall roof on the shared factory site of KME Germany GmbH and cunova GmbH in Osnabrück. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Thanks to the fast and professional intervention of KME's own factory fire brigade and the local fire department, the fire was quickly brought under control, preventing more serious damage.

No production facilities were damaged by the fire, meaning that business operations can continue as normal. The affected areas have been secured and initial measures to repair the roof are in preparation.

KME and cunova would like to express their special thanks to the city fire brigade of Osnabrück for their immediate and decisive action, as well as to the in-house fire brigade and the on-site security team. Thanks to the coordinated interaction of all emergency services, the fire was prevented from spreading and the affected area was quickly secured. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the relevant authorities in cooperation with the two companies.
